So. 2014. Thats that then.
I follow an awful lot of photographers on Twitter, Facebook, in fact anywhere i can. It would seem that the thing to do now is to show all your best shots of 2014 to the waiting world.
Except i’m a little different. Im just going to show you some pictures. Not all are amazing, with swooning brides, confetti cannons and cute children looking, well looking cute. There aren’t any mountains or unreal sunsets. Hell, there’s rain and gurning!
This is some of whats happened to me. The pictures probably wont mean a whole to you. Unless you where there or they are your photo’s. But thats the point.
Photography is about taking great pictures, but i think what gets lost is the fact the they are great to someone. Not everyone likes everything. But to my couples they buy into the fact that i am me. That i will get the pictures THEY want. Im not arrogant enough to do it all my way. Im not good enough. But i will leave a bit of me in every picture.
2014 was amazing. I loved each and every wedding i shot. Seriously. I love the feeling when i knock on the door on the morning of the wedding.
“Its Chris. . . your photographer.”
That never gets old when i say it. Im on edge. Im nervous. But i’m there in the room and for the next 8-12 hours i am going to smash YOUR photography out of the park.
I will capture the kids knee skids across the dance floor, i will get the bridal portraits, the speeches. The best man nervously knocking back that pint of vodka! Im getting it all.
So this isn’t my best of 2014. Its some of 2014. But to the people in these pictures and to my brides and my grooms they are the BEST PICTURES IN THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD.
They are their pictures with a little bit of me thrown in for the lunging!
Have a wonderful 2015 everyone and if you’ve booked me rest assured. . . .
The Best is yet to come.
