Lucy & James – Cooling Castle Wedding Photography
As a wedding photographer in Kent I get to work at Cooling Castle quite often. And its always good. It never fails to impress people as a venue with style and personality. When Lucy & James booked me to do their Cooling Castle Wedding Photography, I was understandably over the moon.
Theirs was going to be a beautiful February wedding with class and style. James has Greek heritage and the night was planned to be ending with some traditional greek dancing! Whats not to love about that from a wedding photographers point of view.
Lucy got ready at her home in Dartford with her three bridesmaids and Mum. It was a very relaxed morning with the obligatory Champagne and laughter. The MUA (thats make up artist to you) and hairdresser worked their magic and the girls all looked stunning. Even in their pink leopard print “onesies”! James had written a small note on the bottom of one of Lucy’s shoes, winning him lots of brownie points with the cooing girls!
The venue was bathed in Sunshine although there was a miniature tornado blowing. I met up with the Groom and his entourage. I won’t mention that the best man had left his suit trousers at home. It would be churlish to mock!
A vintage Rolls was Lucy and her Dad’s transport. A great wedding car! The ceremony was beautiful and after all the paperwork had been signed the happy newlyweds went for a brief spin around the village.
Obviously as we went outside to take the formal family/ guest pictures the tornado doubled in strength. We nailed the pictures in double quick time to enable everyone to get back in the warm.
A quick confetti walk and it was time for the wedding breakfast. Great food, great speeches and much laughter.
The gorgeous wedding cake was cut and it was time for the first dance and the much anticipated Greek dancing. It was brilliant. Even including a blow up gentleman that I believe was part of Lucy’s hen party.
All in all a fantastic day, one in which I was privileged to capture. They’re a great couple Lucy and James and I know that their Cooling Castle Wedding will live long in the memory of everyone that attended. Me included.
I invite you to enjoy a small selection of their Cooling Castle Wedding Photography.
